Graduations with markings on the outside of the funnel make it easier to read the sample volume and prevent hold-up of microorganisms in the funnel. The cylinder can be easily removed by squeezing. Can be converted into a Petri dish for cultivation or the membrane can simply be removed to be placed on a separate agar dish.
